About the Course

Commercial Pilot License or in short CPL is a type of Pilot license that permits the holder to act as a Pilot of a commercial aircraft and be paid for his/her work.

Earning a Commercial Pilot License requires you to meet certain conditions as set by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which are as follows:

Ground School

The duration of the ground school is 4 months. Our Curriculum is based on a blended pedagogy structure, majorly comprising of the Classroom and Online training for the following CPL subjects, as per the syllabus prescribed by the Director-General.

Flying And Simulator Training

At Redbird Flight Training Academy, you will avail excellent training in shortest span of time of 8 to 12 months. A minimum of 200 flying hours are required to issue CPL which includes below flying requirements:

Flight and simulator training At the Redbird Flight Training Academy, you will benefit from excellent training within 8 to 12 months. It takes a minimum of 200 flying hours to issue the CPL, which includes the following flight requirements:

  • Not less than one hundred hours of flight time as Pilot-in-Command.
  • Not less than Fifty hours of cross-country flight time as Pilot-in-Command.
  • Not less than forty hours of instrument time of which not more than twenty hours may be on an approved simulator.
  • Not less than five hours of flight time by night including a minimum of ten take-offs and ten landings as Pilot-in-Command as (sole manipulator of controls)
  • Minimum 100 flight hours as pilot-in-command.
  • Minimum 50 flight hours across the country as pilot-in-command. A minimum of forty hours of instrument flight time, with a maximum of twenty hours on an approved simulator.
  • At least 40 hours of instrument flight time, with a maximum of 20 hours in the approved simulator.
  • At least five hours of night flying, including at least ten takeoffs and ten landings as pilot-in-command (c-only). (sole manipulator of controls)

Only after issuing a certificate release to service(CRS) and Signing the valid documents, Aircraft can move for further journey. There are so many organizations that provide documentation support in Aircraft Industry. For the maintenance data required by several Operators and Maintenance Organizations, these organizations prepare all kinds of controlled documents of various aircraft. There are a large number of students employed there, enhancing their soft skills and knowledge. eg. Capgemini, Aviotrix Aerospace, IBM, GLOINNT, Cyient, Ansys, Opal-RT, Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma

Workshops repair and maintain especially aircraft components. A huge number of Engineers also work there for the repair and modification of Components and troubleshooting of errors in the component. eg. Aircraft are made up of numerous parts. To make these parts separately on a large scale organizations offer Maintenance engineers to join their manufacturing team to enhance their skills. Govt. of Jharkhand Aviation Wing, Airports Authority of India, Govt. of Bihar Civil Aviation, Directorate of Aviation Govt. of MP, Govt. of Uttrakhand, BSF Air wing and so many govt. organizations.

A large number of Non-Scheduled Air operators operate their aircraft all over India providing Air Ambulance facility, Charter Services, Joy rides, Special Devotional journey plans, and Rescue and Film shooting facilities.
