Where an AME licence can take you
A licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the airworthiness of an aircraft. Airlines, MROs, component workshops, flying clubs, charter and helicopter operators and state aviation wings all need licensed engineers.
After the basic training and the DGCA module examinations, engineers gain practical experience on aircraft and then apply for their licence in their category. With experience, they can move into type-rated, supervisory and quality roles.
