The right tool, used the right way
Aircraft maintenance needs precise tools: torque wrenches, micrometers, vernier callipers, multimeters and special tools. Tool control prevents lost tools from being left in an aircraft.
Workshop safety protects people and aircraft.
Common tools
Measuring tools
Micrometers, verniers and gauges.
Torque wrenches
Tighten fasteners to exact values.
Electrical tools
Multimeters and crimping tools.
Special tools
Aircraft-specific tools.
Why every tool is counted
A tool left inside an aircraft can damage engines or controls. Engineers count and record tools before and after a job.

Workshop safety habits
Protective equipment, safe handling of fluids, fire precautions and clean work areas are taught from the first day at Redwings.

Train at Redwings Aerotechnique, Bhopal
Redwings Aerotechnique is a DGCA-approved CAR-147 basic maintenance training organisation in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is part of Redwings Group, which also runs its own DGCA-approved CAR-145 maintenance, repair and overhaul organisation. This connection means students learn aircraft maintenance from people who work to real industry standards every day.
Students can choose the B1.1 (turbine aeroplanes), B1.2 (piston aeroplanes) or B2 (avionics) stream, or the dual programme AME + B.E. Classes follow the DGCA syllabus and are supported by an engine system lab, airframe system lab, electrical, radio navigation, instrument and battery workshops, a general workshop, audio-visual classrooms and a library. Teaching and counselling are available in Hindi and English.
Admission is through the Redwings Aerotechnique admission test, or by direct joining after an eligibility check. Merit scholarships are offered on the admission test score. Redwings students have recorded 100% results in DGCA module examinations across several sessions, and the first Redwings batch achieved 100% placement in airline and MRO jobs.
You are welcome to visit the Bhopal campus to see the labs and workshops, meet the faculty and talk to the admission team before you decide. Parents can join the counselling session too.

Why students choose Redwings
Good tool habits make safe engineers
In aircraft maintenance, the right tool used in the right way is part of airworthiness. A wrong torque, a worn tool or a tool forgotten inside a wing can cause serious problems.
Precision tools
Torque wrenches tighten fasteners to exact values. Micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges measure parts against limits in the manual. Multimeters and insulation testers check electrical systems. Many tools must be calibrated at set intervals so their readings can be trusted.
Tool control
Hangars use shadow boards, tool tags and checklists so that every tool is accounted for before and after a job. Before an aircraft is released, engineers confirm that no tools, rags or parts are left behind. This prevents foreign object damage to engines and controls.
Workshop safety
Safety goggles, gloves, ear protection and safety shoes protect engineers. Correct handling of fuels, oils and chemicals, fire precautions and clean work areas reduce the risk of accidents.
Learning it at Redwings
Module 7 Maintenance Practices covers tools and safety. In the Redwings general workshop, students practise measurement, fitting and the safe use of tools, building habits they will carry into their careers.
