Train at Redwings Aerotechnique, Bhopal
Redwings Aerotechnique is a DGCA-approved CAR-147 basic maintenance training organisation in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is part of Redwings Group, which also runs its own DGCA-approved CAR-145 maintenance, repair and overhaul organisation. Students can choose the B1.1 (turbine aeroplanes), B1.2 (piston aeroplanes) or B2 (avionics) stream, or the dual programme AME + B.E. Classes follow the DGCA syllabus and are supported by an engine system lab, airframe system lab, electrical, radio navigation, instrument and battery workshops, a general workshop, audio-visual classrooms and a library. Teaching and counselling are available in Hindi and English.
Admission is through the Redwings Aerotechnique admission test, or by direct joining after an eligibility check. Merit scholarships are offered on the admission test score. Redwings students have recorded 100% results in DGCA module examinations across several sessions, and the first Redwings batch achieved 100% placement in airline and MRO jobs.

Why students choose Redwings
How engineers grow towards Category C
Category C is usually a later step in an aircraft engineer’s career. It is associated with base maintenance, where large scheduled checks involve many tasks carried out by different specialists.
The role
In base maintenance, B1 and B2 engineers certify the individual tasks within their privileges. Category C relates to certifying the completed base maintenance check of the aircraft as a whole, confirming that the full work package has been completed and properly recorded.
Skills needed
This role needs broad knowledge of the aircraft, strong understanding of regulations and maintenance programmes, attention to documentation, and the ability to coordinate teams and resolve problems before the aircraft is released.
Building experience
Most engineers first work as B1 or B2, gain type ratings, and take on supervisory responsibilities in hangars before moving towards Category C roles.
Where it starts
Every path towards senior certifying roles begins with solid basic training. At Redwings Aerotechnique, students build their foundation in the B1.1, B1.2 or B2 streams, learn regulations in Module 10 and see real base maintenance standards through the Redwings Group MRO.
